Three Things — Embracing Your Inner Idiot

Three Things, my Wednesday post series, inspired by my love for bite-sized, tiny but mighty pieces of information.

One. Take a time out —

We have the west coast up in flames, Houston still underwater, and Irma bearing down on Florida and potentially further up the coast. All icing on the cake with the current political maneuverings going on.

If you need an hour to yourself, to block out all the things, then take it and watch this gem of a series.

Two. This —

Asking for help update —

Last week after doing the half-ask and stopping it midway, I redeemed myself this week by sending out an email with the subject line: “Hiiiiii I need help.” Because I did. Damn imovie was confounding me and they’re pro’s.

And I in turn will stuff them with hand-made pasta at a date to be determined. Win-win. But even if there was no pasta plan, I would still have asked. Because that’s the important part.

Three. Idiocy. —

“The fastest route to confidence is to stop being so attached to one’s dignity and seriousness; and plainly admit that one is – of course – an idiot. We all are.”

— The School of Life. Love this video of theirs.

My dignity has been relegated to the back seat. The idiot part of me is driving. I can’t wait to see what happens.
