Three Things —Action Where it Counts

Three Things, my post series, inspired by my love for bite-sized, tiny but mighty pieces of information.

One. Live —

Trying new things can be exhilarating and scary all at the same time.

A couple of days ago I did my first live video from Piazza Navona in Rome. Rather than shoot for perfect, I went for “Here I am!” And you know what, it was fun! In the video I shared my favorite shady spot for lunch behind touristy Navona and ran into the chef while we were filming. Here is the link in case you missed it.

Two. Cold Sweat.

Experiencing Self-doubt? Are you an entrepreneur or putting ideas out in the world? Loved this post by Gaping Void. All I have to say is #coldsweat

Excerpt below —

You know what the best thing about being an entrepreneur is? That you never have to experience self-doubt, the way people with normal day jobs do.

Ha. I was just kidding. Actually, as an entrepreneur, you have self-doubt coming out of your pores like cold sweat. And that’s on a good day.

Three. Take Action Where It Counts.

I don’t about you all, but I get into #strugglecentral when I look at too many news pieces about current politics, policies, and everything that goes along with it. When I find this happening I pull back and increase my action items.

I delete social apps from my phone and cut out random scrolling. Then I pick up the phone to make calls where it counts. I know what’s going on, my head isn’t buried in the sand. But rather than let the news take me down in a tidal wave of fear and cyclical thinking, I channel it somewhere it can be helpful.

I hope you have also found a way to care for yourselves in the same way.
