Three Things — Lesson Learned

Three Things, my post series, inspired by my love for bite-sized, tiny but mighty pieces of information.

One. Gold Maker Inspo —

Five insanely successful women who changed careers and went on to make it big.

Goosebumps all up and down after reading this sister article about the 8-year old girl who was the catalyst for Harry Potter being published.

__________

Two. Used to. But no longer. —

I used to work for a bully, years ago. Lately I’ve been thinking about him and how small he must have felt to attack his employees. Completely unpredictable, his behavior swung wildly moment to moment. It felt unsafe to be in the room with him because he would turn on you, without reason.

Poor guy. What a small way to live and be. I used to spend time loathing him, now I only feel sorry for him. And also I’m really fricking pleased I learned THAT lesson. Now all I have to do is apply my hard earned knowledge when confronted with a similar situation.

What about you? What’s a lesson you’ve held onto?

Three. Traveling Fool —

In a couple of days I’m about to trains, planes, and autombiles. I’ll be flying up to Milano, taking a train from there over to Venice, and then driving from Venice up to a small Italian town a couple hours north of there. I’m talking almost in Switzerland.

Fun fact: It’s super normal to rent manual transmission cars here, Italy and in Europe in general. An automatic car will cost you more money, but can for sure be rented as well. Shout out to my Dad for teaching me how to drive a stick when I was 16 and then gifting me a sweet little Toyota Tercel to drive around. I’m grateful to have this skill in my tool box.
