Three Things — On the Move

Three Things, my Wednesday post series, inspired by my love for bite-sized, tiny but mighty pieces of information.

One. This —

Random Thought – Good lighting is absolutely a deal breaker for me. Overhead and a harsh white is the worst. Add in a bare bulb and I’m sad. Actually sad. No thanks. I’m in a hotel room with lighting game on point. It’s a ten. I want to curl up here and not leave. Except to go to the HUGE bathtub and soak and repeat. We don’t have a bath in our place in Italy so it’s especially a novelty. Told you this was random.

Two. Buy it with one click. —

House shopping this year? What about dialing in your next home via Amazon? From groceries, to real estate, Bezos is everywhere.

Three. Things are so civilized here. —

I’m in the Netherlands. In Den Haag, actually. A city about 25 minutes outside of Amsterdam. I flew in from Rome this morning and I was struck by a couple of things:

1. People line up in lines. Like actual lines rather than the Italian grouping of chaos.

2. When the subway pulls up, people wait and let the others off. WHAT? I forgot that was a real life thing.

3. There’s fresh juice smoothies and fruit for sale. YESSSS.

Now we all know how much I love the motherland, so don’t think I’m ditching it for Northern Europe, but, it IS a refreshing change. I will have you know, my favorite part of today was when the Italians clapped when the plane landed. Best.
