Three Things — She Could. So She Did

Three Things, my post series, inspired by my love for bite-sized, tiny but mighty pieces of information.

One. This —

I call this song the best 3 minutes and 9 seconds that exists. It’s from the American Beauty soundtrack, but reminds me of the tree outside my living room window in Portland.

The tree I used to watch wave to and fro while I contemplated what changes I was going to make in my life.

No matter where I am, as the first notes play I let out a huge breath I didn’t know I had been holding and my shoulders relax down my back.

Do you have a song that affects you in this way?

Two. I’ve loved this quote for years.

She believed she could, so she did.

— R.S. Grey

Its simplicity and when applied, its impact, is astounding.

Three. I was here last week. Doing This.

A rooftop in Rome, it overlooks Piazza Navona. But, as you can see I’m busy laughing my face off with Maria. My favorite part of this whole photo is her holding on to my arm. Love you babe!
