A Week in Review — I Need a Nap
It’s been party all night and work all day. Not really, but it felt cool to say it.
This may have been my busiest social week in Charleston since we moved here almost a year ago. Which is to note considering most nights I am curled up ready to drag myself to bed by 9 pm. I hope I’m painting a glamorous picture for you. But this week was chock full with dinner and breakfasts with old friends, new cool ones too, and an event or two thrown in. Tonight we’re going dinner cruising on the water and this weekend we’re holidaying it up. I need a nap.
In book news, yesterday I received my 5th rejection letter. I said bring them on! No really, I said that. Especially considering The 4 Hour Work Week (which spent 5 years on the NYT Bestseller list) was rejected TWENTY SEVEN times before it was published.
While I wait for my Book Champion to show up (which is absolutely a thing) I will noodle over who is going to play me in the movie. Jennifer Lawrence? Natalie Portman? Whaddya think?
That’s what I got, what about you guys, what are you up to? I’ve gathered the latest musing from around the web for your weekend reading.
I don’t like having things randomly. But I do like having a few, nice things. I’ve had my eye on these beauties (in Ecru) for a bit and just ordered them. Monogrammed as well, please and thank you.
I saw Lady Bird last week and I’m sad. Sad because it was so good I wish I could see it all over again for the first time. Now this is cued up on my list. It’s reviewing at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and she looks like a firecracker. I do love women of all kinds and especially with some FIRE.
Ciao for Now!
