What Do You Have Planned For The Weekend?
We’ve spent the last few days in the Smokey Mountains enjoying the view. We took a scenic train ride and rounded it out with lunch onboard. Since I’ve been touring, and taking care of other work, I haven’t had much time for writing. But this upcoming weekend is jammed with it. With Mimmo out of town, I’ve cleared my schedule of other commitments for some serious screen time.
I read an emotional chapter aloud last night to my Dad and I saw his eyes get misty as he bowed his head listening to my words. It was him I made the first call to when I knew Zak was in a serious diving accident. And it was him I called back when I knew he had died. After finishing the chapter I asked how he felt.
“I haven’t relived the events since the day, as I know you have many times. It stirred it all up again for me, I remember it well. And I’m impacted by hearing your thoughts as it was all going on.”
Dad’s a pretty stoic guy, getting a bit more emotional as he gets older. But it’s usually only military movies that bring him to tears. I’m considering this some solid writing.

An excellent trick on getting smells out of clothing. Even stubborn ones the dry cleaners can’t touch. Hint: it involves vodka.
A story about how each relationship is important in its own way. I’m grateful for each one.
Winner of the Newbery Medal and celebrating its 50th anniversary, this gem is on my short list.
If you’re dreaming of Parisian Eats, this is your next read.
Calling all self-employed’s this is solid list of commandments. Numbers 6, 9, and 13. Oh yeah.
Ciao for Now!
